Upload a picture to trace. It appears under the canvas, so you can draw melodies right on top of it.
Choose the paper you draw on. Sound does not change: only the guides do.
Saves what you hear: the drawn melody in the selected sound.
Saves what you see: the drawing itself, without the grid or dots.

Draw Your Music is a free visual canvas synthesizer that runs right in your browser. Draw a line, a curve or a shape, press play, and hear your drawing turn into a melody — no instruments, no sheet music and no experience required.
It's also a playful way to play music theory. Pick a key, choose a scale (major, minor, pentatonic, blues, dorian, jazz or arabic) and an octave range, and everything you draw stays in tune. Add drums and bass to build a full backing band, then pick a stroke's color to change which instrument it plays.
When you're happy with the result, export your track as MP3, or save your artwork as a PNG or JPEG image.
MP3 export uses the LAME MP3 encoder through lamejs 1.2.1, licensed under LGPL-3.0. The license text is included with the site.
Your drawings, songs and settings never leave your device: they live in this browser's local storage, and nothing is uploaded. There is no account and no server. The fonts and icons on this page load from public CDNs (jsDelivr and cdnjs), which see your IP address.
Press and hold it to open its own sound settings.
